Here are my videos that I had to make to go with the mixed sounds that we've been working on since the beginning of the semester. I decided to record my roommate and his friend playing video games, my cat, my dad driving, and a shower head which i then pixelated in order to get the crazy checkerboard effect. Im really happy with how these videos turned out because a lot of time was spent editing and going over them again and again in order to make them a final product.

This is the final mixture of all previous sounds with the addition of a voice component which was me beatboxing. I really enjoyed the fact that we made all of these sounds at different times yet they were all meant for the same purpose. I also enjoyed having to cut and rearrange the sounds in order to get them to sound the way I wanted them to. Having to create a video from this sound is going to be very interesting.

This project was heavily influenced by Christian Marclay who cut up multiple records and glued them back together with random pieces of other records. for my cut up records I used Ted Nugent, Journey, Billy Joel, and one more that seems to have left my mind. I loved the randomness that this project brings upon itself, not only that but how well the records worked afterwards even though they had been cut up and put back together randomly.

For this project we had to make an instrument, after many failed attempts i ended up making a bass like string instrument. My first idea was to make a "woodwind" type instrument however I couldn't get it to work from the lack of a reed, and even attempts at trying to make a reed went south. In a last attempt to try and create something I decided to use an empty iced tea container and rubber bands. Fortunately the different rubber bands I used provided a good range of variation between notes and the empty space that the iced tea jug has provided a good deep sound.

This was an audio loop that we had to record using everyday sounds. I decided to record the sounds that could be heard from my daily activities. For instance some of the sounds that I used were ice cubes being dropped into a glass, a self-checkout station, a microwave, and so on. I like that all of these sounds were recorded randomly yet they fit really well and it even sounds like a heart monitor to me.
